Another huge new update announced

The world is waiting not-so patiently for GTA 6, but with the game not due out for at least another year, Rockstar has once again committed to the continued evolution of GTA Online. For those out of the loop, that’s the multiplayer component for GTA 5, the game which first released on the PS3 (!!!) all the way back in 2013.
Due out this summer, the next major addition to Los Santos will come in the form of a “bail enforcement and bounty hunting business”. From the description, it sounds like this will be similar to other major GTA Online updates, where you’ll need to purchase some brand-new premises as part of your empire, and carry out missions from within it. All of the content can be completed single player these days, although the balancing is generally pretty bad.
The Rockstar Newswire adds: “This summer’s action-packed GTA Online update also delivers a collection of new rides to covet and collect, boosts to payouts across a number of existing modes and missions, including Taxi Work, Open Wheel Races, Operation Paper Trail, and more.”
There’ll also be some more general quality of life upgrades, including extended Sell Mission timers to help solo players, automatically replenishing snacks, and various other balancing tweaks. To be honest, we’re tired of the mission design in GTA Online these days, but it’s still one of the most unique multiplayer modes out there, and it’s hard not to love the ever evolving sandbox gameplay it provides.

You gave me hope, then took it away!
I've had this game since the good ol' PS3 days. Online has always sounded tempting but I really don't like other people. I want the content but not the social. I should really look into what Red Dead Online is like playing alone.

I played online for the first time recently after a lifetime of single GTA games. For new players it’s incredibly bloated, with very little new player introductions to mode mechanics, and a lot of those mechanics are very dated compared to modern day online games. I’ve had some fun in it solo as playing with other people is just endless griefing or like the solo missions, wildly unbalanced. New updates like this would do nothing unless you’re already a vet.
But it’s undeniably GTA and that means it’s core is daft fun, I am very hyped for what a brand new and updated modern online mode in GTA6 will bring.

Haven’t loaded up GTAV for probably 5/6 years now. I can appreciate what a juggernaut it became though. Incredible work from Rockstar

@Monstermash40 early years wasn't really bad. And before heist you could do it all solo. We good fun those early years.

Online just seems to huge for me to jump back in....I'm hoping it's a reset and a brand new online mode when GTA 6 comes out

I have yet to play the previous new content so when this summer dlc drops I'll be visiting Los Santos again to play both. It's been awhile, I hope I don't find squatters living in any of my properties.
