I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who participated in the recent Discussion and Feedback Session of the Dog Data Nepal Website, hosted at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS). The session served as a platform to exchange ideas, gather feedback, and chart the way forward for this important initiative.Dog Data Nepal is a pioneering project aimed at collating comprehensive data on the canine population in Nepal. By leveraging technology and community engagement, the initiative seeks to address various aspects related to dog population management, public health, and animal welfare.During the session, attendees actively discussed the functionalities, usability, and potential impact of the Dog Data Nepal website. Valuable feedback was provided, ranging from user interface improvements to data collection strategies. Are you familiar with Dogdata website ?????A public information website for Nepal (www.dogdata.uk)has just been set up to show where and when anti-rabies vaccinations have taken place by mapping the locations of recently vaccinated dogs. The site was developed by Himalayan Animal Rescue Trust (HART) but involves the collaboration of other animal welfare NGOs as well. It also shows recent censuses of dog populations and will eventually include information on neutering campaigns.The aims of the site include:1.Informing the Nepali public about whether their local dogs are immunised or not2.Informing the Nepali authorities about vaccination programmes in their areas3.Informing NGOs and other groups where work has taken place so as to avoid overlaps4.Informing researchers with recent information on canine vaccination dataRabies surveillance in Nepal is challenging, and so it is hoped that the site can play a part in improving rabies surveillance by providing a facility to log the location of rabid animals, both suspected and confirmed.

I'm delighted to share that the past 10 days have been quite remarkable for me.I have visited more than 40 veterinary student from 17 different student level veterinary organizations that are directly involving in Rabies Control Program in Nepal, from 4 different university ( IAAS, AFU, NPI and HICAST).I've had a fantastic time engaging in discussions and exploring their involvement in the rabies control program, as well as their potential, opportunities, and challenges.I am greatful to those supportive hands.Special thanks to Dr. Sirjan Bastola and Dr. Rakesh Chand sir.(NVSA,IVSA,YCSA, CVSA, Vet-SAW, One Health)
