I am pleased to announce my admission into the American Councils for International Education's Korean Intensive Summer Language Program (KISLP) Summer 2024, along with having been chosen for the Judith Ehm Foundation Fellowship in the amount of $7,000! This summer, I will be spending two months in Cheongju, South Korea starting June 22 at Chungbuk National University to quickly increase my Korean fluency level via daily rigorous Korean language instruction and immersive excursions, along with my fellow peers chosen from all around the United States. As I have been looking for such an opportunity to continue my study of Korean abroad, I am more than excited to participate in such a wonderful program and look forward to the challenge of being immersed in a completely different culture. I am continually amazed by the incredible opportunities God blesses me with and the amazing people He puts in my path to help me along my journey. I would like to thank Dr. Matthew Jones and my Korean teacher, Ms. Jinsung Yang for their support and recommendation. I would also like to thank the University of Florida International Center and the UF Career Connections Center, as they were extremely helpful resources when it came to my application. I would like to thank the Program Director, Ms. Merritt Huang, and the Assistant Program Director, Mr. Derek Chuah, for being extremely helpful during the last stages of preparation before the commencement of the program. And of course, I am very grateful to and would like to thank the Judith Ehm Foundation for providing the fellowship and American Councils for International Education for choosing me as a recipient of the Judith Ehm Foundation Fellowship, as my participation in the program without such financial support would not have been possible.Link to the KISLP home page: https://lnkd.in/epTAyRQ6
