1. Atlanta Hawks: Alex Sarr, C, France
Back-to-back French centers going No. 1 overall may not be the best look for the NBA, but Alex Sarr has to be the favorite to be the top pick in the wake of the Hawks’ surprise victory in the draft lottery. Atlanta has two great guards, but needs better interior play.

2. Washington Bullets: Rob Dillingham, PG, KentuckyThe Bullets didn’t get the top pick, but they can still land a talented point guard with the No. 2 pick. The question is whether it’s Rob Dillingham, Nikola Topic, or Stephon Castle. For me, it’s a slight lean toward Dillingham.3. Houston Rockets: Zaccharie Risacher, SF, France
More Frenchmen are not ideal, but we could see two of them in the top three. The Rockets are desperate for a wing, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Zaccharie Risacher ends up going No. 1 overall.4. San Antonio Spurs: Nikola Topic, PG, Serbia
There are three talented point guards in this draft, and they could go in any order. I imagine the Spurs would want one of them to upgrade Tyus Jones.5. Detroit Pistons: Reed Sheppard, G, Kentucky
The Pistons need lots of help. One area is a two guard, as Detroit sorely needs a better backcourt mate for Cade Cunningham.6. Charlotte Hornets: Donovan Clingan, C, Connecticut
It’s been a while since the Hornets have maintained great play in the paint. Perhaps that’ll finally change with this pick.7. Portland Trailblazers: Matas Buzelis, SF, USA
The Blazers have quality guard and center play. Their wings are very weak, so they may target one with this selection.
8. San Antonio Spurs: Cody Williams, SF, Colorado
The Spurs used their first pick in the top eight on a new point guard. They can use their second choice on a new wing, which must be addressed as well.
Can the Grizzlies still trust Ja Morant? Given that Morant seems to get into trouble all the time, Memphis may just move on from him.10. Utah Jazz: Ronald Holland, SF, USA
The Jazz could go with the best player available. It wouldn’t hurt to help their wing play while they’re at it.11. Chicago Bulls: Dalton Knecht, SF, Tennessee
The Bulls need to get Alex Caruso out of the starting lineup, so they could target a prospect like this to make it happen.12. Oklahoma City Thunder: Ja’Kobe Walter, SG, Baylor
The Thunder aren’t getting a starter at No. 12, but they could stand to add some quality backcourt depth with this pick.13. Sacramento Kings: Terrence Shannon, SG, Illinois
The Kings could lose Malik Monk in free agency, so here’s a viable replacement for him.14. Portland Trailblazers: Kyle Filipowski, C, Duke
DeAndre Ayton is entrenched as Portland’s center, but the team took a hit with its paint play when Ayton was out of the lineup. Better depth is needed.15. Miami Heat: Jared McCain, PG, Duke
The Heat acquired Terry Rozier last season. He was a temporary solution at the position. Here’s an answer for the long haul.
