Penny Lancaster's fallout with Rod Stewart's ex-wife as pair reunite for wedding (2024)

Sir Rod Stewart's blended family descended in Croatia over the weekend for his son Liam's wedding day and the guest list included his past and present wives, Rachel Hunter and Penny Lancaster. The rockstar's 29-year-old son, who he shares with Rachel, married Nicole Artukovich at St. Ignatius church in Dubrovnik following their engagement last year.

In pictures from his special day, Penny and Rachel are seen smiling alongside Rod and Rachel's daughter Renee who also celebrated her birthday on the Saturday. All three looked incredibly relaxed in each other's company, each beaming for the camera while posing in bright coloured dresses.

Rod has previously likened his blended family to "a tribe" who regularly meet up and holiday together, but Penny has previously admitted it hasn't always been plain sailing with Rod's second ex-wife. The former model tied the knot with the Maggie May hitmaker back in 2007 and they share two sons together; Alastair, 18, and Aiden, 13.

Their big day took place just a year after Rachel dumped the rockstar nine years into their marriage, a split Rod admitted he didn't see coming. Fast forward the years and the rockstar and his three wives have shared many occasions together proving all is good between them, but this hasn't always been the case.

According to previous reports, Rachel was once overheard questioning Penny's gender in a swipe at her appearance during the early stages of dating Rod. The model is also said to have stormed out of the World Sports Awards when she saw Penny dance to Rod's Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?

Five years later, Rod's wife spoke out about her friendship with Rachel following their "earlier differences".

She said: “Rachel and I, over the years, we’ve grown up and both have a lot more in common now.

"We sit and chat and we’ve got over that silly period ten, 15 years ago. It’s about being adults. We’ve moved on, grown up."

She went on to say: "And from the beginning I knew I wasn’t dating just Rod, I was in a relationship with his family.
