The 20 best street markets in Da Lat (2024)

The Hotel Colline is a contemporary hotel located in the heart of Dalat city. It offers rooms with free WiFi access and a bar. The hotel is situated 200 metres from Xuan Huong Lake.

Stayed at Hôtel Colline for 3 nights with my wife, this is our 5th time at this hotel. The hotel was more than decent! It was clean, spacy and the biggest pros was the staff who were really friendly, generous and helpful! They even made a surprise to my wife for having her birthday with a delicious cake. We also had airport transfer which was a good price and lovely ride!

Stayed here in Oct. 2020 for our honey moon just before the covid hit and had very good experience with the Studio choice and the breakfast buffet. Thus, we decided to be back on Oct. 2022 for our wedding anniversary with the same choice. The staff was helpful despite the hotel was quite busy on Sun. 9 Oct, when we checked in (probably this was why they didn’t look friendly and thus, we could not rate 5/5). They were flexible to change the room with the lake view for us although we forgot to note this when booking. Just wished that we could get the room a bit earlier than the standard 2 p.m. to rest after taking the morning flight. They also helped check the yoga schedule for the coming week days and informed us via room call. The room is clean and neat. We often only write a review after the trip. However, we received good care and services on the 1st day of our stay and decided to give some credits for the hotel on the same day.

👍🏻: I stayed there for 5 nights and the rooms were spacious and clean. The staffs were nice and very helpful, especially Miss Grass. Really appreciate their service.👎🏻: lighting of the hotel can be improved as 1 switch controls all the light. Quality of the breakfast food can be better as well.

Secondhand Smoke and Sewage Stench Disrupt Stay at Hotel CollineBooking a non-smoking room should guarantee a smoke-free experience, yet my stay at Hotel Colline was marred by a persistent cigarette odor. Adding to the unpleasantness was a sewage smell emanating from the shower drain, which made the room feel unclean and unhygienic. When I addressed the smoke issue with the manager, pointing out the source through their open door, I was met with a the unhelpful claim that nothing could be done. Only after expressing my frustration and demanding a refund did they take action. This suggests a tolerance for smoking within the establishment, further confirmed by the manager's refusal to investigate the situation with me directly. If a smoke-free environment is important to you, I strongly recommend seeking alternative accommodations.

Got the inside no window Queen Room. Made for a really quiet stay. Ventilation was adequate, the Bed was absolutely perfect, I had such a good sleep. Cleanliness was good, Staff were great, and the location was the best. Behind the hotel was the night market, and everything else was within a 10-minute walk, including the lake. Breakfast was very good. The check-in and check-out process was also very good, and they stored our luggage until we headed to the airport at 2pm.

Located in the heart of Dalat city, right above the centre market making it so convenient to access the night market . The room is very nice and modern . Great choice both for western and asian breakfast. Plus the staff are cute, professional, and helpful. I will definitely return to Hôtel Colline if I get a chance to visit Dalat city

Everything is wonderful and workers are very pleasant and helpful! Such a nice atmosphere to be in. I will be thrilled to stay here again. The breakfast buffet is also a nice surprise with a variety of options and tasty Vietnamese coffee. My only suggestion would be to invest in better pillows. We only had two sleeping pillows in our room and they were uncomfortable to say the least. It hurted my husband’s neck.

Positives:Room 1019 design/environment - amazingly fantastic and massively spacious room, excellent air conditioning, extremely clean, had his and her bathroom basins, slippers ready, excellent cupboard space, wonderful mini-bar, drink options, comfortable cushions & bed, friendly greeting letter and fruit platter was a nice touch. Outstanding panoramic and breathtaking city and mountain views, even in the shower. I liked the loofah sponges. We had Google to watch tv shows which were not available in Australia. The television was a nice size and easy to use. There was no corridor or guest noise. The corridors and lifts were air-conditioned.Laundry service - quick delivery, nice fragrance clothes. It was fair value for money.Housekeeping service - was clean and prompt.Amenities/Central location - nearby to the night markets, gym, beauty spa, hairdressers, pharmacy, coffee shop, automatic teller machine, convenience stores, and taxis.Impressive large social gym - with extensive weights area, exercise bike, cross training, inner thigh machines, with a mixed martial arts cage. Better than 5-star hotels due to more machine types.Downstairs coffee shop - had great kale, apple and pineapple juice, and coffee and sweet food options. We could put this on our bill.Staff - helpful staff with local knowledge recommended an excellent vegetarian restaurant. The reception staff gave us an early check-in.The breakfast area - on level 5 has good city views, lovely gardens, and comfortable chairs. The hotel confirmed our vegan requirements. Staff provided us with soya milk.Negatives:Food variety - the reception staff told us we would have vegan breakfast options. But we did not have any specific dishes made for us as other hotels did. Little vegan tasty dishes options were on the menu and breakfast. I ate green lettuce, tomato, corn, sweet potato, steamed beans, fried vegs, watermelon, and mango. I did not see too many fruit options. It was a basic breakfast buffet. I noticed only two cereal options, no muesli, basic teas, and coffee.Outside noise - a business sales promotion loudspeaker recording was echoing from the street at 4 pm. I heard a woodpecker bird type of sound from 1-3 pm for at least two nights which was annoying. I bought my earplugs and could still hear this woodpecker bird sound. No Netflix - was available for guests.English communication issues - I requested to have laundry washed and folded only. We did not want our clothes wrapped in plastic or hung on coat hangers. I mentioned this to the receptionist and wrote these instructions on the laundry list form. The staff should have honoured our request. The gym - did not have relaxing acid jazz music, just loud trance-thumping music. Even when I asked the receptionist to turn it down, it still was off-putting. Yet this gym is for the public and hotel guests.Concierge issues - staff needed the updated pricelist and menu for the upstairs spa. The escalators did not work on level 1. The concierge should have told me about the lifts at the Da Lat Centre next to the public gym.Inconvenience issues - unfortunately, staff mistakenly cancelled my partner’s key, and he could not get into his room.

Great location, friendly staffs & big roomBut terrible toilet design & toilet facilities. It deserves 2-3* hotel, not 4* as it should be.In the early morning, you also here noises from the market side & also water noise inside the room.I expected Coline hotel should have a lot better quality than that then quite disappointed.Hope in future, it may upgrade the toilet in the rooms.

We stayed at Collins for 3 days and 2 nights recently. On the second day, we found out that my wife's ankle bracelet was stolen from our room when the janitors made up our room. Totally disappointed with the hotel's customer service when they tried to blame us as if we actually lost it somewhere else and provided absolutely zero solution to to dissolve this matter. Do not choose this hotel for your stay at Da Lat. HORRIBLE management and honesty it was the worst experience I have ever had.

This hotel seems built for events, not guests. The rooms have 0 soundproofing - we could hear all of the events happening on the patio, the elevator beeps, anyone talking in the halls, kids screaming constantly. When we asked about options for making it quieter so we could sleep, they told us we’d need to pay to upgrade and move. Room was pretty but dirty, and some areas were unfinished. Overall, there are better hotels for less, wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel location is very at the heart of the city which is convenient to explore the surrounding. The breakfast buffet was ok but nothing special. Breakfast time is a bit too early for me.The room has quite bad sound insulation, we heard loud voices from the room that shares the back wall with our room.Air / ventilation is also not good. There is a fan at the ceiling of the WC area. That fan should suck out the air inside the room when turned on and in our case we received bad air from somewhere else which was cigarette.

We initially chose a hotel that was horrible so we walked across the road to check into this lovely hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious with great views of Dalat. The location is great, walking distance to the market and restaurants. The staff could not be more helpful and spoke very good English. Ms Thao in particular was exceptional and even walked us to a restaurant because she was worried we would get lost and she was right! Anything we needed, the staff provided. I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Dalat.

My name's Wai Chung, and I'm from Singapore. My parents and I stayed at Hôtel Colline in Da Lat, Vietnam, from Tue05Sep2023 to Sat09Sep2023. Overall, we had a positive experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting there. We were very impressed with the high service quality that we received at Hôtel Colline - Da Lat, due in large part to the exceptional professionalism of Ms. Phurong Thao, a Guest Service Officer there. She was very friendly to us and showed great initiative. All our requests for assistance, from wanting recommendations and sturdier pillows, to reaching out-of-the-way places, were addressed promptly, with empathy and effectiveness. Thanks for all your help, Ms. Thao; you're an angel! Also worthy of commendation are the wait staff of Salt Restaurant, one of the restaurants at Hôtel Colline - Da Lat. The two ladies who attended to us did so with much warmth and patience.Hôtel Colline - Da Lat's central location, beside Da Lat Market, made it a convenient base for us, as we explored Da Lat and its surrounding areas.

Let me start by saying thank you to the staff at Colline for a great stay. The staff were attentive and incredibly nice from the front staff, room service to the porter staff. I felt welcomed and extremely taken care of throughout my stay. Top 5 service experience I’ve ever gotten at any hotels. Now onto the negative, the loud guests. Perhaps we were unlucky or the walls/noise damping were low but we were constantly woken up by other loud guests yelling in the hallway. I did notify the staff and they did try to help and apologized profusely but these other unruly guests were undeterred. I had to confront the other guests at 4am myself to get them to stop. Overall a positive experience from the staff and hotel but negative experience from the other guests.

The hotel looks rely nice, and great location. When we came to the room, it was freezing cold, and the sewage didn't work. We contacted the staff, they sad the air conditioning was broken, but couldn't do anything about it. But atlas the fixed the clocked sewage. The morning buffet was like a war zone, super crowded, and people was preaty much fighting over the food, and people were pushing each other arround. DON'T GO THERE...

Our family stayed at this hotel for three nights. We were very happy and pleased with the hotel conditions and services. The room were very spacious, cleaned and bright. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The hotel location is great. It’s closed to night market and walking distance to Xuan Hương Lake. The Hotel representative, Tài, was very helpful and professional. He went extra miles to help us with room arrangements and bus ticket reservation. Really pleased with his services and his professionalism. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who want to stay in Dalat city center.

I had the opportunity to have breakfast with my family here. The food is diverse, delicious, and visually appealing, mainly Asian dishes. The spacious and airy ambiance added to the experience, and we were treated to a stunning view of DaLat, making it a memorable morning indeed.

The staff in the hotel deserves the highest rate, all employees were helpful and attentive from welcoming us at the door and taking our bags till departure. Breakfast was very good, a lot of options were available and they are changed over days. The room was okay and location was perfect. Cool thing was the free photo booth in the lobby.

I enjoyed my stay here very much! I got the deluxe double room and it has the nice view of the town. The room is decent size and I love the modern simple vibe with the wood slabs wall. The hospitality is top notch :) the staff assisted my 85 year old grandmother with getting in and out of the car and they always opened the car’s door for us. Front desk also helped me with booking appointments at a nearby spa. FYI, hotel guest has 15% off at that spa :) Location is very close to Da Lat night market and it is a short walk to Xuan Huong Lake. Highly recommend Hotel Colline! I will definitely come back!

The staff was very attentive and courteous from start to finish and they deserve a solid 5 stars! The room on the other hand was average: beds were comfy but the washroom layout is not the best (looks fancy but not the most practical) and the soundproofing is lacking (we can hear honking even on the 9th floor). The breakfast buffet offers good variety, but would be nice a touch if items were clearly labelled whether if they are vegan/vegetarian.Location is ok if you're into the local wet/dry market experience (most of the vendors do sell identical items).I would rate my overall experience a 3.5 stars.

Buffet is under par. Glasses, cutlery always empty. Good is edible but lacking in variety and taste!Rooms are nice and elegant. Staff are friendly, helpful and curious and professional.
