A long-time resident of Angelica, Wisconsin, Janet died due to complications of COVID-19 at Forest Glen Assisted Living in Seymour. Janet was born onNovember 12, 1932, toWilmer and Leona (Heus) Runge of Following her graduation from St. Mary Catholic High School, Janet served as an executive secretary in the offices of Marathon Corporation andAmer- ican Can Company in Neenah. Throwing a 16-pound bowling ball, she met her beloved husband Clifford Powers at a tournament inMarch of 1963, where she held her 179-pin average.

They left the bowling alley deciding whose Chevy to take his pick-up or her Corvette convertible. The farm truck won and Janet joined Cliff on theHolstein dairy farm inAngelica. The couple wasmarried on January 4, 1964, at SacredHeart Church in Sherwood. Janet farmed alongside Cliff for over 40 years, including being the main sweet corn picker for the road-side stand, sometimes snapping 300 dozen ears a day. They worked together on the Angelica Town Board with Janet serving as Treasurer and then Clerk until she retired in 2019, when they moved to Forest Glen.

She continued to create exquisite cards and gifts, adding quilling to her talents in her last year. A true fan of the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers, she rarely missed listening to or watching a game. Janet was also devoted to her Catholic faith, including many years at Assumption B.V.M Parish in Pulaski. Survivors include her children: Jeanine (Karl) Zornow of (Kelly) Powers of Portland, Oregon, and Scott (Anne) Powers of Angelica. Grandchildren includeMorgan Brian Barkdoll) andMitchell Powers; Francis, Edward, and step-grandsonDavid Zornow; and Evan andAli Powers.

Janet is further survived by her (Carol) Runge of Combined Locks, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, on July 13, 2019, as well as her parents, and brothers-in-law and their wives, Gerald (Dolores and Irene) Powers and Jack (Leatrice) Powers. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski Pulaski, with Fr. James on Saturday, January 2nd with visitation from 11:00 a.m.

Janet Powers WEYAUWEGA Our special angel, Joyce Shirley Caroline (Flunker) Ponto age 85 of Weyauwega, Wisconsin, took the hand of Jesus and went to her heavenly home on December 23, 2020, at Bethany Home Inc. in Waupaca.

While she resided there she conquered Covid-19 and pneumonia. She was born on April 15, 1935, in the town of Caledonia, Waupaca County. She was the daughter of the late Ernst andAmalia (Meydam) Flunker. She was bap- tized on April 23, 1935, and confirmed on June 5, 1949, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Joyce attended Crystal Fountain public school in She then graduated fromWashington high school of New London onMay 28, 1953. On June 26, 1954, she was united in mar- riage to Eldor L. Ponto at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fremont, by Pastor H. PaulWestmeyer, after which, she became a member at St.

Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church inWeyauwega. Eldor and Joyce weremarried for 58 years. Joyce and Eldor loved going out to eat, traveling to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to listen to gospel music, and going to polka dances. They are now polka danc- ing together in heaven.

She loved hermother-in-lawMabel like amother, as hermother died when she was young. Joyce worked for in Fremont for 2 years and was also employed at Taylor Cheese Corporation. Then she worked as a room one supervisor at Churny Co. inWeyauwega for 39 years and retired on June 24, 1994. She enjoyed working with people and she loved to laugh.

faith in the Lord was first and foremost. Joyce was committed to the Lord and loved going to Church and singing her favorite hymns. She would read meditations with God in the evening. One of her favorite Bible verses was: is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in (Psalm Joyce enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed reading, writing, quotes, photography, and poetry just as her mother Amalia did.

She called a picture of a Joyce also loved reading and writing about the history of lives. She called it a mind fixed with ideas on paper. She especially liked scrapbooking and it was her favorite hobby. Things that she scrapbooked were: Horse and Buggy Days, the Weyauwega train derailment, current events, her own life as she saw it, sermons from several pastors at the Church, her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Joyce had a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren as they gave her great joy.

Joyce was blessed with a son and a daughter. She is survived by her son Daniel (Wendy) Ponto and daughter Deanne (Rick) Togstad. Joyce was blessed with 6 Lorelei, Emily, Nathan, Tyler, and one great-grandson, Damion. Two step-grandchildren: David (Michelle) and Adam Togstad; two great-grandchildren: Mason and Ryker. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Elsbeth and Elaine Flunker, Linda Ponto; brothers-in-law: Lester (Jean) Ponto, and Gordon Niemuth; many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that she cherished.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Bernhard (Jean) Flunker, Ernest Flunker, and Kenneth Flunker; (Raymond) Westphal, Sarah (Erwin) Pankow, and Margaret (Calvin) Pomerening; Ponto and Elmer (Doris) Ponto; Niemuth and infant Vernice. The Christian Memorial Service for Joyce will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, with Rev.Aaron Kristopeit officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church or School.

Ponto NEENAH Robert Al- bert Peotter, age 102 of Neenah, passed away early Saturday, December 26, 2020. He was born in Apple- ton to the late Edward andOrah (Jackson) Peot- ter, the oldest of seven children. On September 14, 1939, Bob married Gladys Bockin inWinchester. After 71 years of died on July 13, 2011. Together they had four sons: Jerry (Diane) and their daughters: SusanNy- han, Paula (Darren)Myers, Plano, TX; Wayne (Lynn) Peotter, Neenah; Dennis (Karen) Peotter, Perham, MN; and their daughter, Amy Wallgren, New York Mills, MN; and her daugh- ters, Grace and LucyWallgren; Robert Peotter, and his daughter, Elizabeth (Greg) Peloquin, Santa Fe Springs, CA.He is additionally survived by Sandra Peotter, Betty De- Kelver, Nancy Peotter, New York Mills, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife; his par- ents; in-laws, Sam and Lucy Bockin; daughters- in-law, Christine Robinson and Deborah Hopen; and all six siblings: William (Mary) Peotter; Jea- nette (Theodore) Elseth; Thomas Peotter; Patricia (Richard) Kustman; James Peotter; and Richard (Nancy) Peotter; DeWall; and brother-in-law, Arnold Kloes. Bob served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1946. He was honored to par- take in the Old Glory Honor Flight of September 2012. In 2018, he celebrated his 100th birthday with over 100 family and friends.

He was a long- timemember of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Neenah, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid golfer and bowler, bowling past 102 years old and was able to average his age! Bob will be buried alongside Gladys in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.
