PARENT TEACHER HOME VISIT FACILITATOR(Teacher on Special Assignment)SummaryUnder the general direction of the Administrator of Family-School Partnerships and direct supervision of the Family-School Partnerships PTHV Coordinator, the PTHV Facilitator will perform duties to support the implementation and growth of Parent Teacher Home Visits in alignment with Goal 3 of the WCSD Strategic Plan. The primary responsibilities of the PTHV Facilitator will include but are not limited to coaching staff, developing, and delivering professional learning, analyzing data, and using the principles of continuous improvement, reporting progress, communicating with school sites and the broader community, coordination of events. The Facilitator will work as part of a team with the PTHV Coordinator and PTHV Secretary to successfully support the initiative to reach district goals. The PTHV Facilitator will represent Family-School Partnerships in district meetings with other department certified Specialists to align PTHV to other relevant initiatives. Incumbent performs other duties as assigned and may require work during the evenings and during selected weekends.
Exemplary Duties/ResponsibilitiesCoaching certified site coordinators: at PTHV schools - enhancing home program to meet school goals, encouraging family voice during staff professional learning, communicating with school leadership. about progress towards school goals, school visits; Collaborate with various WCSD Departments and PTHV teacher leaders to schedule and support new and existing ESP, certified and administrative staff. Offers professional learning opportunities on how to successfully implement PTHVs with fidelity to the national model. Align additional professional learning opportunities to related content in o. r departments such as: Social and Emotional Learning, Multi-tiered Systems of Support, Equity & Diversity, Curriculum & Instruction and Counseling, provide a training of trainers for new teacher leaders facilitating WCSD professional learning on PTHV, collaborate with FSP staff to support broader professional learning on family engagement for WCSD staff. In collaboration with other departments (such as Special Education, SEL/MTSS, Curriculum & Development, Striving Readers, Assessment, Career & Technical Education, Counseling, Early Childhood), develop curriculum for family learning sessions tied to the instructional core, current district practices and systems; Assist with distribution of quarterly reports to site coordinators, principals, Associate Chiefs, support school site coordinators in using PTHV BIG Dashboards to analyze and continuously improve program implementation. Participate in evaluation design and progress monitoring of the program with the Office of Accountability, Department of Research & Evaluation, assisting the Coordinator of PTHV to report outcomes to the Board of Trustees and community as tied to the district's strategic plan, Goal 3, Using program evaluation data in partnership with the PTHV Coordinator to apply the principles of continuous improvement. Work in collaboration with other departments to offer Training of Trainer sessions on new content, building the capacity of on-call facilitators to deliver content; Daily communication with PTHV School Site Coordinators to alleviate barriers to implementation, implement the program with fidelity to the national model, address inconsistencies with implementation, coordinate site visits with district leadership and school site champions, work with FSP staff to ensure positive school practices are highlighted through the department's social media, website and when appropriate district communication methods; Support the mini-conference, school selection committee, PTHV week, representing WCSD in national cohort for PTHV; Work as a team with the PTHV Coordinator, PTHV Secretary to Support Administrative Work - data with Infinite Campus, stipends, managing allocations for schools in relationship to the budget and visit goals; Utilizing school feedback data to respond to school needs and develop tools to support PTHV participating educators Perform other related duties as assigned.
The tasks of the PTHV Facilitator will require a moderate level of autonomy, guided by the goals of the Department of Family-School Partnerships, as well as the WCSD Strategic Plan. The PTHV Facilitator is accountable to the Coordinator of Parent Teacher Home Visits, who will oversee their performance evaluations. These assessments will also involve the Administrator for the Department of Family-School Partnerships, ensuring a comprehensive review of the Facilitator's contributions to the program.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDSRequiredAny combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be:
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, administration, counseling, or a related field; AND
Five (5) years of successful experience as a pre-k, elementary, middle, or high school certified teacher
Five (5) years of successful experience as a certified employee with knowledge and experience of Parent Teacher Home Visits and Family Engagement.

Required Skills & AbilitiesThe PTHV Facilitator is a position that requires the following:

Licenses/Certificates: A valid Nevada teaching license in elementary and secondary education
Physical Demands: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. The work does not necessitate any unique physical requirements.
Work Environment: The environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences, or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
