Suits has found a new audience and fans can’t get enough of it. The legal drama broke streaming records when it was released on Netflix in June 2023, becoming the platform’s most-watched show of 2023. Its streaming success has since spawned a new spin-off series, titled Suits: L.A. With the Suits franchise continuing, fans are now wondering if the original cast will reunite for a new project. Keep reading to see if there will be a Suits reunion movie and who of the cast would participate in it.

Will there be a Suits reunion movie?
Shortly after Suits, which originally aired on USA Network from 2011 to 2019, was released on Netflix, the series broke the Nielsen streaming record for acquired programming, earning an impressive 3.1 billion viewing minutes during its first week. A few months later, a spin-off series set in Los Angeles, titled Suits: L.A., was officially confirmed by NBCUniversal.
Although the show will be set in the same universe as the original, it will feature a brand-new cast, including Robbie Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg, Victoria Justice and Josh McDermitt, among others. While speaking toPeople about her new role as strong-willed attorney Erica Rollins, Scott Davis teased that “maybe” there will be “some sort of rollover from the original cast.” She added: “It’s not impossible … I would love that myself if there was, but we’ll see. You never know.”
The original series starred Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, a college dropout who used his photographic memory to land a job at a prestigious Manhattan law firm. Rounding out the cast was Gabriel Macht, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, and more.
Since none of the original cast members will be series regulars in Suits: L.A., fans have been wondering if they will reunite on a different project, such as a reunion movie. While we don’t know for sure if a reunion movie is officially happening, Adams is very interested in participating in one and revealed that there is a possibility.
When asked by Us Weekly if he would want to reprise his role as Mike at the 2024 ATX Television Festival, the actor swiftly answered, “Yes.” He added: “I say that being a person who has no power or authority.” Adams noted that Suits creator Aaron Korsh’s main “focus” is on the spin-off series for the time being, but that getting the original cast back together is “definitely something [Korsch] is interested in doing.”

He continued: “It’s going to depend on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible? I think it is possible.”
The original cast are still very close in real life. In fact, several of the actors reunited earlier this year for the 2024 Golden Globes. Adams and Macht, who portrayed corporate attorney Harvey Specter, walked the red carpet together and presented the award for Best TV Drama during the ceremony. In a surprise appearance, the pair were joined on stage by Rafferty, who starred as Donna Paulsen, and Torres, who played Jessica Pearson.
“It’s an amazing thing,” Macht said on the red carpet of the show’s newfound popularity. “We had some great success when the show was on… and then at a certain point, Netflix came in. It’s just gotten incredible eyes and we’re very grateful for it.” Of reprising his role as Harvey, he added: “If I got the phone call, I’m ready to suit up again.”
Adams, Rafferty, Macht, Torres and Hoffman also attended the 2018 royal wedding of Meghan Markle, who played Rachel Zane, and Prince Harry. Since leaving the show in the Season 7 finale and marrying Harry, Markle has shown no interest in returning to the franchise. She did address the show’s recent resurgence, though, telling Variety in November 2023: “It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit … But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”
